International Palliative Care Day
Palliative care is much more than care. It means taking care of the quality of life of the seriously ill and their families, so that they can enjoy life to the end, in the best possible conditions, despite the illness.
It is both a personalised accompaniment, which respects the needs of each patient, and a multidisciplinary approach which aims for physical, psychological, social and spiritual well-being.
Palliative care is a right for everyone, regardless of age, illness or life expectancy. Our units on both sites are dedicated to providing personalised and appropriate care to patients and to being a place of respite, accompaniment and listening for loved ones and family.
For this special day we would like to thank all our palliative care staff!
