WORLD ANTIMICROBIAL AWARENESS WEEK (WAAW)

def

World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) takes place from 18 to 24 November 2022.

It is a global campaign emanating from the WHO that is celebrated every year to raise awareness and promote understanding of the problem of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). In 2019 alone, multi-drug resistant germs have claimed the lives of an estimated 1,270,000 people.

The theme of this year's global week is "Preventing antimicrobial resistance together".

During this week, the HOST H.uni team will promote the dissemination of the messages of prudent use of antimicrobials and the strengthening of preventive measures against antimicrobial resistance. It is by acting together that we can limit the emergence and spread of multi-drug resistant germs. Each of us has a vital role to play now to improve our future!

WAAW, you are a partaker!
