OUR diversity PLAN
Diversity in all its aspects is a core value at the Europe Hospitals. We believe that gender, origin, age, sexual orientation, philosophy of life, or disability are all elements that constitute our individuality and the strength of our teams.
That is the reason why the Europe Hospitals have developed a diversity plan in collaboration with Actiris. Would you like to know what measures our hospital will take to strengthen diversity within our walls? Take a look below!
ACTION 1 : IN OUR JOB OFFERS, WE HIGHLIGHT THE ACTIVE DIVERSITY POLICY OF THE EUROPE HOSPITALS
Diversity is a fundamental value within our walls. We want to encourage as many candidates as possible to apply for the Europe Hospitals.
ACTION 2 : FIND SOLUTIONS FOR THE INCLUSION OF LESS QUALIFIED PEOPLE AND STRENGTHEN THE CONTACTS WITH THE SELECTION SERVICE OF ACTIRIS AS WELL AS WITH THE OTHER SECTORS IN THE FIELD OF EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING IN BRUSSELS
We evaluate the different possibilities of cooperation with Actiris and other actors from the employment and training sector in the Brussels-Capital Region. We do this in order to keep the profiles of our candidates and employees as diverse as possible and to be aware of and make use of existing employment measures.
ACTION 3 : THE TRAINING OF MANAGERS AND MIDDLE MANAGERS AIM TO ENSURE NEUTRAL RECRUITMENT AND TO ADDRESS DIVERSITY
The Europe Hospitals organise training courses in management, stimulation of diversity and neutral recruitment for management and human resources staff.
ACTION 4 : TRAINING ON MANAGING WORKERS’ DIVERSITY
We offer training courses in open and wide communication and in dealing with diversity. We provide moments of intervision to exchange practical expériences.
ACTION 5: ELECTRONIC DIVING TRAINING
The e-Div online tool allows you to learn about anti-discrimination laws in accessible terms: our HR managers, business partners and other people involved in the selection and recruitment process are invited to take this training. For more information, go further down the page and you will find more explanations about eDiv.
ACTION 6 : OUR CONFIDANTS FOLLOW THE ANTI-DISCRIMINATION TRAINING ORGANISED BY ACTIRIS IN COOPERATION WITH UNIA AND IGKVM.
Our confidants have the opportunity to follow this training and thereby receive official recognition as confidants.
ACTION 7 : FACILITATING INTERGENERATIONAL EXCHANGE OF KNOWLEDGE
The Europe Hospitals want to develop a culture of intergenerational co-creation. On the one hand, the person and his or her work are appreciated within our walls and, on the other hand, the integration of the person who succeeds him or her is facilitated.
ACTION 8 : INTEGRATE THE INSTITUTION'S DIVERSITY POLICY INTO ITS RECEPTION POLICY
Particular attention will be devoted to our actions in the field of diversity and anti-discrimination in the induction process (in the welcoming brochure and during the induction day).
ACTION 9 : INTERNAL COMMUNICATION ON DIVERSITY
We try to inform all staff of the Europe Hospitals commitment to diversity and anti-discrimination through our intranet, our newsletter, information flashes and the induction of new employees.
ACTION 10 : INFORMATION SPACE ON DIVERSITY AND WELCOME IDEAS
With the e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org, we create a (digital) space for diversity and thus you can get in touch with qualified people to discuss the development of diversity actions or other diversity related issues.
ACTION 11 : OUR STAFF ARE ENCOURAGED TO TAKE THE LANGUAGE COURSES WE OFFER
We try to adapt our courses to the different target groups as much as possible and we want to give every employee the opportunity to participate in the courses and activities that the hospital organises to improve language use and communication.
ACTION 12 : THE HOSPITAL'S ACTIVITY REPORT COMMUNICATES ACTIONS ON DIVERSITY
Our commitment to diversity and our actions against discrimination are discussed in the Europe Hospitals Activity Report.
ACTION 13 : SHARE OUR EXPERIENCE WITH OTHER ACTORS IN THE SECTOR
Even outside our own institute, we show how our sector promotes diversity. We share our experience in the fight against discrimination and promote diversity at meetings with other partners or at events related to the implementation of diversity plans in the Brussels-Capital Region.
