Dr Jean-Charles Bauchau, Ophtalmology
The Europe Hospitals is pleased to welcome Dr. Jean-Charles Bauchau, who has recently joined the Ophthalmology Department.
Dr. Bauchau studied medicine at the Université Catholique de Louvain, graduating with great distinction. He went on to specialize in ophthalmology at several institutions in Belgium and France, including the Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc and the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Mont-Godinne.
After completing his training, Dr. Bauchau joined the Fondation Adolphe de Rothschild Hospital in Paris, where he specializes in anterior segment surgery. His expertise includes corneal, cataract, and refractive surgery, under the supervision of Professor Damien Gatinel.
In addition to his surgical training, Dr. Bauchau holds an Interuniversity Diploma in Refractive and Cataract Surgery from the University of Cochin in Paris.
He is also certified in Clinical Ophthalmology by the International Council of Ophthalmology.
Looking ahead, Dr. Bauchau intends to focus on cataract and refractive surgery, as well as eyelid (palpebral) surgery.
