Dr. Valérie Cassetto appointed Head of the Radiology Department

DR Cassetto

Since May 15, 2025, Dr. Valérie Cassetto has been serving as Head of the Radiology Department at the Europe Hospitals.

With her extensive background and recognized expertise, she aims to further develop cutting-edge radiology, serving patients and working in close collaboration with all medical teams.

Dr. Cassetto began her medical training at the Faculty of Medicine in Amiens (Université de Picardie Jules Verne), where she studied from 1995 to 2002. She then completed her general practice residency at the University Hospital of Amiens and the Regional Hospital Center of Saint-Quentin, earning her doctorate in general medicine in 2005.

Passionate about medical imaging, she continued her studies at the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL). After completing a radiology residency (2005–2011), she obtained her degree in radiodiagnostics in 2010. Her training was further enriched by a subspecialization in ENT imaging and women’s imaging, developed at Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc.

Since 2011, Dr. Cassetto has been practicing at Europe Hospitals (St-Michel site), where she has been particularly involved in the development of ENT imaging and women’s imaging. She is a member of both the breast clinic and the endometriosis clinic, contributing to multidisciplinary and integrated patient care.

In 2018, she was appointed Head of Radiology at the St-Michel site, where she dynamically coordinated radiological activities and supported the evolution of practices in line with clinical needs.

As Head of the Radiology Department, Dr. Cassetto seeks to strengthen the quality and accessibility of examinations, relying on a motivated and competent team, advanced technical facilities, and a forward-looking vision that embraces major developments such as artificial intelligence, transformations in the medical field, and upcoming federal reforms.

Dr. Cassetto succeeds Dr. Pieter Waer, to whom we extend our warm thanks for his dedication and leadership over the past years.

We wish Dr. Cassetto every success in her new role.
