The Europe Hospitals warmly welcome Dr. Sara COSTA GOMES (ENT)

The Europe Hospitals warmly welcome Dr. Sara COSTA GOMES, who joins the Department of Otorhinolaryngology (ENT).

Dr. Costa Gomes is an ENT specialist with a particular interest in clinical and surgical rhinology.

She studied medicine at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (Brazil) and specialized in ENT at the Central Hospital of the Military Police in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). In 2022, she obtained her PhD in rhinology from the University of São Paulo (Brazil) and Ghent University (Belgium).

Dr. Costa Gomes has extensive professional experience as an ENT in the Brazilian Navy (captain) as well as in various hospitals and clinics in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo (Brazil). In addition, she completed ENT fellowships at UZ Gent (2021-2022) and UZ Brussel (2024-2025).

She frequently publishes ENT-related articles in medical scientific journals, serves as a guest reviewer for several academic journals, and is a speaker at national and international conferences.

At the Europe Hospitals, she aims to practice general ENT, including pediatric ENT, while further developing clinical and surgical rhinology across our two sites, Ste-Elisabeth and St-Michel. Her main objective is to work within a multidisciplinary team focused on complex rhinology cases.

Dr. Costa Gomes speaks Portuguese, English, French, Dutch, and Spanish.
