The insulin pump is now available at the Europe Hospitals for our patients with diabetes.
The Europe Hospitals now has the Pump Agreement in place, enabling it to offer type 1 diabetic patients treatment with an insulin pump.
This device continuously delivers insulin under the skin while communicating with a glucose sensor. It automatically adjusts the necessary doses in real time, ensuring better blood sugar control.
Thanks to this new service, patients can now receive care locally without having to be referred to a teaching hospital. This is a particularly significant step forward for pregnant women with diabetes, who can now receive comprehensive care at our facility.
Our diabetes care team, consisting of four diabetes nurses, five doctors, and a medical secretary, has undergone specialized training to help patients navigate this new technology.
Individual and group training sessions are already in place to provide personalized and reassuring support.
This marks another step toward innovative, compassionate, and patient-centered care at the Europe Hospitals.
