WHO WILL BE CARING FOR MY CHILD?

Our multidisciplinary team includes seven paediatricians and assistants, one head nurse, 18 nurses, most of whom are specialised in paediatrics, two paediatric nurses, a logistics assistant, a psychologist, a social assistant and two physiotherapists. We work according to a shared healthcare philosophy enabling us to better target priorities for each child and to steer the same course as we are providing high-quality healthcare.

Our team includes the following members:

THE PAEDIATRICIANS

  • Dr F. Motte (head paediatrician),
  • Dr A. Sauvage
  • Dr B. Verbruggen
  • Dr T. Slaouti
  • Dr A. D’Arpa
  • Dr C. Dunga
  • Dr B. Dima
  • Dr. Déléstienne

Every morning, your child is examined by one of the team’s paediatricians who prescribes the treatment or decides on the medical examinations that your child requires, and determines whether your child is ready to be discharged. He will inform you on the state of health of your child and its evolution.

PAEDIATRIC ASSISTANTS

They work with and under the supervision of the paediatricians. The paediatric assistant is a doctor undergoing a specialisation and who is permanently on duty in the unit. He informs you of the results of examinations, any changes made to the treatment, and prepares medical documents (certificates, prescriptions, and discharge letters).

The head nurse

Madam Abi Saloum Nada is the head nurse. She is in charge of the nursing team and oversees the organisation of the unit and of administrated treatments, constantly ensuring their quality and efficiency. She answers questions parents might have regarding the hospitalisation of their child.

THE NURSES

Day and night, the nurses provide nursing care, monitor various parameters (blood pressure, temperature, etc.) and administer treatments. They inform and reassure children and their parents.

THE PAEDIATRIC NURSES

They are in charge of hygiene care, and make sure the children are comfortable and monitored. They work together with the nurses. They help the logistics assistant with certain tasks.

THE LOGISTICS ASSISTANT

She provides logistical support to the team, so that its members can concentrate on the healthcare provided to the patients and improve their comfort. She hands out and removes meal trays, oversees the general order of the unit, she cleans and disinfects the medical equipment, places stationery orders, etc.

THE NURSING STUDENTS

They work under the responsibility of the nurses and their internship supervisor.

THE PSYCHOLOGIST

The psychologist addresses the questions, concerns, and uncertainties of children and their parents, together with the doctors and the entire team.

THE SOCIAL ASSISTANT

The social assistant provides assistance to people facing various social issues.

THE PHYSIOTHERAPIST

With a medical prescription, he comes to treat your child twice per day.

THE DIETICIAN

The dietician makes sure that the various diets are being properly followed and can provide advice if your child is experiencing eating issues.

EXTERNAL CONTRACTORS

Clowns, story tellers and other volunteers complement our work by providing moments of fun to the children and their parents.

CLEANING STAFF

They ensure that the unit and rooms are always clean.
